"Still"...

As a kid, I was a fan of music by The Commodores…  I also liked a lot of Lionel Richie's solo stuff.  One song I liked a lot was the sad breakup song, "Still".

Lionel Richie is the grand master of late 70s R&B love songs.  He supposedly wrote "Three Times A Lady" for his grandmother, but it was a much loved love song.

Probably my all time favorite Commodores song is "Easy".  There's something about this song that just screams classic.  Yes, it's a 70s hit and sounds it, but I still love it in 2013.   I blogged about "Easy" before, but it bears repeating.  It's a great song.

I tried "Still" yesterday… interesting from a woman's perspective.

Cuz I'm Easy....

I have always loved the Commodores...  One of the very first songs I remember from my very early years is this one...

I could listen to it over and over again and never get tired of it.

And then in 2007, I happened to be watching America's Got Talent and there was Cas Haley, making everything old new again.

I like what Cas did with this song, but I much prefer The Commodores' early version.  It makes me feel all warm and nostalgic.  I think I was born in the wrong decade.  I should have been a teen in the 70s.

Incidentally, I was never easy.  I'm not even easy as a wife.
