Going 90s era alternative...

I recorded a couple of new songs yesterday for YouTube.  I was surprised and delighted to find instrumental versions  of these songs because I had wanted to try them for a long time… I was especially wanting to cover Sinead O'Connor's version of Elton John's "Sacrifice".  It was hard to make  videos for these songs, but videos are not really my forte anyway.

I think Sinead O'Connor did a great job with Elton's song.  I'd rather do her version than his.

I like what Kate Bush did with "Rocket Man", too… though I prefer Elton's version to hers.

It was fun to do these songs, though.  I want to get a mixer to soften the feedback when I do higher notes.

In light of St. Patrick's Day and the new Pope...

Wow... I remember when this happened.  Talk about shock!  I don't think Saturday Night Live has been this controversial since...

On the other hand, I do remember seeing a SNL alum being shocked on live TV several years ago...

I remember watching this with my husband and about peeing in my pants.  Mike Myers looked like he wanted to be sucked into oblivion while Kanye West went off on George W. Bush.

But then, Kanye West has never been known for being tactful...

The man is a narcissist if I've ever seen one... But he creates drama and people love that.  I wonder what kind of kid he and Kim Kardashian have produced in the womb.
